What To Expect

Valletta
The tour starts with the visit of the Maltese capital, Valletta after the pick up head to Barraca Gardens for unique views of the Grand Harbour. Time for a photo in front of the Auberge de Castille, ancient seat of the Knights Templar coming from Castile and now home of the Maltese Prime Minister. Proceed to St. John's Cathedral, where masterpieces by Caravaggio can be found.

Three Cities
After visiting Valletta, you will visit the Three Cities area, so called for the imposing fortifications that have protected the towns of Senglea, Vittoriosa and Cospicua over the centuries, located on the opposite side of the Great Harbor right in front of Valletta. Panoramic tour with a stop at the Gardjola Gardens in Senglea, where you can admire a breathtaking view of the big port, before continuing to Birgu-Vittoriosa for a short walking tour of this characteristic small town that still preserves the authentic Maltese spirit.

Marsaxlokk
The tour continues to the characteristic fishing port of Marsaxlokk, where after a short walk along the sea to admire the characteristic boats called luzzu, you will have a typical lunch of fish in a restaurant on the harbor. In the event of food restrictions, please notify our guide.

Blue Grotto (Il-Hnejja)
Along the way, stop at the panoramic point from which to admire the famous Blue Grotto of Malta. Free time to take some photos and continue to the nearby megalithic temples

Hagar Qim Temples
Stop and optional visit to the Megalithic temples of Hagar Qim and Mnejidra, the most evocative megalithic constructions in Malta and dated before the Pyramids in Egypt. In case you want to visit the tour the guide will arrange to accompany you and show you this truly unique site. In case you don't want to visit the temples, we will continue to the Dingli cliffs for a panoramic shot.

Mdina Old City
We next visit the Medieval city of Mdina. Mdina is built on a plateau in the centre of the island, the city's old Baroque buildings, Cathedral and magnificent bastion walls dominate the rural skyline. Mdina, once the capital of Malta until the modern city of Valletta was built in 1566 has had many names including Melite, Medina (Arabic occupation), Citta Notabile and Citta Vecchia (after Valletta was built). Today it is also referred as the Silent City since it inspires tranquillity at any time of the day or night. The only way to really experience and enjoy this city is on foot, explore the quaint alleys, narrow streets, ancient buildings and magnificent far reaching views from the high bastion walls. Free time for a coffee' or tea before heading back to your Hotel or Cruise ship
