What To Expect

St. Paul's Bay
Walking Tour at Xemxija & St. Paul's Bay

In the year 60 AD a big storm hit the Maltese
Islands which brought a galley with 47
persons aboard in one of the beautiful bays of Malta. Among the
crew there was the Apostle Paul known as Saulus from Tarcus.
Accompanying the apostle Paul was Luke, a medical doctor by
profession and profecient in writing. St. Luke the Evangelist, wrote
an interesting description about the shipwreck of St. Paul on the
islands, where he described the local people as barbarians as
they did not speak Latin or Greek. Saint Paul healed many locals
including Publius’ father, later also baptising him in the town of
Melita.
