We booked this tour through Supreme Travel from our hotel on Malta We were surprised when the rival hop on hop off bus arrived to transfer us to the ferry terminal. We walked onto the ferry without showing any tickets, we later found out that the ferry is free to Gozo but you have to pay to get back. We got on the first bus of the day and stayed on until the Ggantija Megolithic Temples and the TA'Kola Windmill. We had plenty of time to see both before catching the next bus 45 mins later. We intended getting off at the next stop for the Calypso Caves but the bus driver stops for 10 mins for people to take long distance photos as the caves are a very long walk. Good advice as it turned out as the caves were a very long way. Our final stop before returning to the ferry was the Dwejra, a rocky coastline with a natural hole in the rocks known as the Azure Window. We searched for a while until we discovered that after a major storm in 2016 the rocks had collapsed so the window was no more. About 45 mins later the next bus arrived. By now the weather had turned nasty so all seats inside the bus were taken so we had a very wet and windy return to the ferry terminal. That is when we discovered that our round trip ticket did not get us from Gozo back to Malta and we had to purchase tickets at E4.65 each. Getting the first bus in the morning allowed us time to utilise the hop on hop off facility but if the weather had been better I think we may have struggled to get on the bus at certain stops.
Good enough... if a little hit and miss on timings?
We found this a great independent way to see Gozo... and there are some very narrow streets to contend with!!! This can affect the travel times as there can be trouble passing etc.
Very good places and sightseeing and organization! A special mention to Cetty for everything, many thanx
Don't underestimate how long it...

Don't underestimate how long it takes you to get around and stop off and then get the bus back to the ferry to get back to meet the bus back in the mainland. Great scenery, I was a little bit disappointed when a driver could see we were trying to get to the bus and drove past meaning we had to wait another 45 minutes. Despite all this I would recommend it
A good way around the island, but a rough ride and poor commentary
We intended using the green buses in Gozo after being recommended by our holiday rep. Therefore upon arrival on the fast ferry we were greeted by two girls selling tickets. We paid €20 each and jumped on the bus straight away that was waiting for the ferry to arrive.
However, we found that the commentry was intermittent. Was it automatic, or did the driver forget to press play at various places?
We saw most of the island by bus going through narrow roads and small villages, and because of traffic, the bus wasn't on time. I would therefore get to the stops 10 minutes early when hopping back on in the hope of catching an earlyer bus.
The two stops we liked were Marsalforn and Xlendi. Two lovely seaside villages with plenty of restaurants on the seafront for food and drink. And the walking distance to and from the bus stops were not too far.
One big downside to this service is that the roads in Gozo are in poor condition and the ride from the top of the bus is quite rough.
